I have been suffering with vertigo. My primary care Doctor recommended a Otolaryngologist/ENT that specializes in sleep disorders and had received unfavorable reviews on Yelp.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kohan after hours of research: he was highly recommended by Organizations devoted to resolving Vestibular Disorders, also by a Meniere’s Disease Support Group, and one Reviewer on Yelp – Not to mention all the Top Doc Awards. I did have to wait more than a month for an appointment, but is was worth it.
Dr. Kohan took the time to give me a comprehensive examination, which included looking at the films of my brain MRI, balance tests, auditory testing (he has an Audiologist on Staff), and other appropriate tests. I was scheduled for vestibular testing during that same week; he called me and discussed the results that night.
At all times I felt that he was professional, highly competent and capable. I was not diagnosed with any vestibular disorder, and I feel confident my vertigo is not ENT/vestibular related.
